Founded in 1988 by Rosemary Rizzi, the Garden Club of Spring Lake has grown from a small group of dedicated gardeners into a vibrant organization of over 100 members. For more than three decades, our members have shared a passion for horticulture, conservation, and community service — beautifying Spring Lake while fostering lasting friendships.
Throughout the years, the club’s many civic projects have earned recognition from the Garden Club of New Jersey, including awards for Adopt a Station, Conservation/Environment, Garden Therapy, Landscaping at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Random Acts of Beauty, Whistlestop Gardens, Wreaths Across America, and Youth Gardening.
Our members meet on the first Wednesday of the month (except February, July, and August) at 12:00 p.m. in the Spring Lake Community House. Each meeting features refreshments, camaraderie, and engaging speakers on topics ranging from floral design to environmental stewardship. Guests are always welcome to join us and see what makes our club flourish.
The Garden Club of Spring Lake continues to honor its founding spirit — giving freely of time, talent, and creativity to make our town more beautiful, one project and one friendship at a time.
